Legal
Terms and conditions
Last updated September 4, 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you use StartMeUpPro. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else here — plainly, and without hiding anything in the middle.
1. Who you are dealing with
StartMeUpPro is operated by Start Me Up Pro LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. You can reach us at info@startmeuppro.com.
2. What the service is
StartMeUpPro gives a small business a public booking page and a CRM behind it: customers, bookings, estimates, invoices, reminders and guided worksheets. If you also ask us to register a business, that is a separate service with its own scope and its own fee.
It is not legal, tax or financial advice. The guides in the product do arithmetic on figures you enter; they do not tell you what to do, and they are not a substitute for an accountant or an attorney. Nothing on the platform decides whether your business meets a legal requirement.
3. Your account, and your customers’ information
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself
- Your customers’ records are yours. We hold and process them for you, and you decide what happens to them
- You are responsible for having the right to collect what you collect, for telling your customers what you do with it, and for the questions you choose to ask them when they book
- Do not put protected health information about a person into the platform. It is not built for it and we make no HIPAA commitments
4. What it costs, and refunds
- $49 to activate your account, then $49 a month
- The monthly renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time
- From your second month on, we refund the unused part of the month you are in. We do not take a processing fee out of a refund, and we never charge you before a renewal
- The $49 activation is not refundable — it buys the account rather than a period of time
- Payment is handled by Stripe. If we change what the service costs we will tell you before it takes effect
5. Taking payments from your customers
Marking an invoice paid in StartMeUpPro records that your customer paid you. It does not by itself move any money.
To take card payments through the platform, we connect it to a payment processor you hold an account with. You can keep the processor you already use, as long as it offers an API or webhooks we can work with — some do not, and we will tell you plainly if yours is one of them rather than leaving you to find out.
Connecting it takes one of two things, and it is your choice which:
- You give us access to your processor account so we can set it up for you. We ask for the narrowest access that will do the job, we use it only for the setup you asked for, and you can withdraw it whenever you like
- Or we give you the exact steps and you do it yourself, with us on a call if you want one
Either way, once it is connected:
- The account stays yours. Your agreement is with the processor, and their fees apply to what you take
- They pay out to your bank on their schedule. We never hold your money
- Your customers’ card details go to the processor. We never see or store a card number
- You can disconnect it at any time and carry on using everything else
We are not responsible for your processor’s fees, their decisions about your account, or an outage on their side. If they stop working with you, that is between you and them.
6. What you agree not to do
- Use the platform to send anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing
- Upload somebody else’s information that you have no right to hold
- Try to reach another business’s data, or to get around the limits on your account
- Resell the platform as your own product
We can suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.
7. Availability
We work to keep the platform up and we monitor it, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, a provider outage or a fault can interrupt it. If something is broken, telling us at info@startmeuppro.com is the fastest way to get it looked at.
8. What we are and are not responsible for
The platform is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost business, lost profits, or a booking that did not arrive — and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You remain responsible for your own business: the work you do, the prices you set, what you tell your customers, and whether your business meets the requirements that apply to it.
9. Business use
StartMeUpPro is for running a business. It is not intended for personal or household use.
10. Ending it
- You can cancel at any time, and section 4 says what happens to the money
- You can ask us for an export of your data, or for it to be deleted
- We can end an account that breaks section 6, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give you notice and time to get your data out
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to what you are paying for, we will tell you rather than quietly reposting the page. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it.
12. Your privacy
What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
